Nearly 30 Scottish clans – about 15 with flags – were represented at First Presbyterian Church for Kirkin' o' the Tartans Oct. 28. Tartans are plaid patterns worn on kilts, flags, hats, etc., that represent Scottish clans. Congregants with Scottish roots carried their tartans in a procession at the beginning and end of the otherwise regular service.
