Directed by Clyde Ruffin, "The Amen Corner" by James Baldwin will finish its run Feb. 28–March 2 in the Rhynsburger Theatre at MU.
After stirring her Harlem congregation with a passionate sermon, Sister Margaret is confronted by the unexpected arrival of Luke, her long estranged and ailing husband. His arrival forces her to confront the sins of her secret past and threatens to destroy her new life. A play about the complex relationship of family, faith and earthly love, it is a sorrowful and exultant masterpiece.
The show will starts at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets cost $12 for the general public and $10 for students and seniors.
