Nov. 29: ‘Education Under Fire’ with Mizzou Amnesty

29 Nov

Event Date: Thursday Nov 29, 2012
through Tuesday Feb 26, 2013 7 p.m.

What if the education you have received or are receiving, and all of the opportunities that come with it, were no longer available to you, simply because of your religious background?

This hypothetical situation illustrates a reality faced by many Baha'i youth in Iran. Join the Amnesty International club at the University of Missouri (Mizzou Amnesty) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 in the Multipurpose Room of the Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center for a free screening of the Amnesty International co-sponsored documentary "Education Under Fire." The documentary is 30 minutes long and will be followed by a discussion on religious freedom, the right to education and social action.
