Conference promotes understanding of Islam
The Muslim Student Organization conference focused on topics such as having a personal relationship with the Quran, understanding the character of the Prophet Muhammad and engaging in activism. Talking about the Boston bombing was not a scheduled part of the conference, but spoken word poet Ammar Alshukry took some time to reflect on it with his audience.
